Milemarkers AZ is Hiring a Pediatric Physical Therapist
At Milemarkers Therapy, our Physical Therapists are movement champions. You'll evaluate and treat children with developmental, neurological, and musculoskeletal challenges — helping them gain strength, mobility, balance, and the confidence to move through the world on their own terms. If you're driven by measurable outcomes and the joy of watching a child take their first independent steps, you'll feel right at home here. We're not just a clinic — we're a tribe. Bring your expertise, your energy, and your love of movement. There's a place for you here.
What You'll Do
▪ Clinical Duties
• Conduct comprehensive PT evaluations and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans addressing gross motor development, strength, balance, coordination, gait, and functional mobility.
• Design and implement home exercise programs to support carryover of therapeutic gains.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions — in person and via teletherapy — based on insurance authorization and family need.
• Collaborate with the Therapy Team Lead and/or Therapy Manager on treatment planning and clinical problem-solving.
• Communicate progress, goals, and concerns clearly with children, families, and interdisciplinary team members. • Ensure progress notes are current for upcoming PCSP meetings and provide relevant updates to the DDD Director as needed.
• Follow established scheduling priorities during cancellations and open clinical times.
• Maintain clinical competence by pursuing continuing education aligned with caseload needs.
• Submit weekly check-ins via the designated internal platform.
• Share treatment milestones, special activities, or progress highlights with the Therapy Manager as requested.
Clinical Supervision
• Serve as a clinical supervisor for Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) as assigned.
• Review and co-sign PTA documentation within two business days.
• Provide ongoing mentorship, oversight, and constructive clinical feedback to support your team's growth.
Documentation & Compliance
• Complete billing and daily/progress notes by the end of the next business day (or last working day of the week). • Complete discharge documentation by the end of the next business day.
• Submit progress reports in accordance with insurance timelines.
• Complete letters of medical necessity as requested by Authorization Coordinator.
• Ensure documentation is measurable, objective, and includes appropriate clinical reasoning.
• Complete incident reports and submit to DDD Director (DDD clients) or Therapy Manager by end of next business day when required.
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of all client records.
Professional Collaboration & Engagement
• Communicate proactively with Supervisor when support or guidance is needed.
• Monitor and approve personal timesheets weekly and at end of each pay period.
• Utilize effective time management to remain within approved hours.
• Check Microsoft Teams and email daily to ensure timely communication.
• Participate in annual company events and engagement initiatives as requested.
• Participate in company reviews including surveys, 90-day reviews, annual evaluations, and peer review requests.
• Contribute to equipment care, cleaning, and sanitizing of therapy materials and shared spaces.
• Follow all cleaning and safety protocols.
• Adhere to all policies outlined in the Milemarkers Employee Handbook.
Who You Are
• Energized by helping children build strength, independence, and confidence through movement.
• Grounded in evidence-based practice with a knack for making therapy feel like play.
• A clear, empathetic communicator who partners effectively with families and teammates.
• Highly organized and self-directed, with the adaptability to meet each child where they are.
