Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 16 years of age and have at least one (1) year of experience as a fitness instructor, or two (2) years of participation in a fitness class; and be able to perform Water Exercise Instructor duties. 

Special Qualifications

Valid Driver's License of the appropriate class. 

First Aid Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency. 

CPR Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency. 

Automated External Defibrillator Certification issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency. 

Possession of at least one (1) of the following is preferred: 

Aquatic Fitness Professional Certification (AFPC) issued by the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA). 

Aquatic Arthritis Instructor issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency. 

Certified Group Exercise Instructor issued by the American College of Sports Medicine 

(ACSM). 

Water Safety Instructor Certification (WSI) issued by a nationally recognized certifying agency based on assignment. 

What You’ll Do:

• Lead high-energy water fitness classes (Aqua Zumba, HIIT, water aerobics, resistance training) 

• Design innovative aquatic routines that challenge, engage, and entertain 

• Motivate participants of all ages and fitness levels with a positive, playful attitude 

• Organize themed aquatic events, water challenges, and community fun days 

• Keep safety at the forefront while making every class feel like a party
