SPECIAL NOTE: 
Incumbent works outdoors and is exposed to extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and traffic. May be subject to call back. Primary assignment will be in Water/Wastewater SCADA. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides lead direction and work coordination for assigned staff ensuring that assigned projects are completed in a satisfactory and timely manner. Skillfully performs journeymen level work in the installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of water/wastewater electrical systems, control systems, instrumentation and equipment. Work is performed under the general direction of the SCADA Supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and be self-motivated, trustworthy, and reliable.  They will have strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and will be able to complete their work in a safe and timely manner. They will be able to work with limited supervision and have the integrity to do their job properly.  Knowledge of RSLogix 500, RS Logix 5000, and AutoCad is highly desirable . The ideal candidate must be flexible, possess good communication skills, and be able to work with others. Extensive experience in the water and wastewater industry highly preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED and extensive electrical experience in the maintenance and repair of motor control centers, industrial motor controls, instrumentation and moderate supervisory or lead experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Valid State Driver's License

Drug and alcohol testing is conducted under the authority of City policy and the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991. Appointment subject to successful background investigation and City paid post-employment medical examination after offer of employment has been made.
