Join the dynamic sales team at River City Newspapers (RCN) and play a key role in the growth of local businesses. We're seeking a talented Account Executive to develop and implement strategic advertising solutions using our diverse media product suite, extensive traffic, and valuable digital data. In this collaborative role, you'll guide clients through the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to presenting impactful proposals, closing opportunities, and ensuring successful campaign outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve and surpass monthly targets for activity, pipeline growth, and revenue generation.
• Actively identify and cultivate new leads through proactive lead generation, cold outreach, email campaigns, and industry networking.
• Strategically build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business prospects and opportunities for upselling existing clients.
• Develop comprehensive expertise in RCN's range of digital and print advertising products and services.
• Conduct insightful discovery sessions and deliver compelling presentations to prospective and current clients.
• Proactively recommend innovative product enhancements and promotional strategies to help clients achieve their objectives.
• Skillfully address client concerns and objections to facilitate successful partnerships.
• Maintain a clear overview of your client pipeline, provide accurate monthly revenue forecasts, and report progress to management on a weekly basis.
• Craft persuasive and engaging advertising solutions tailored to address the unique business needs of each client.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Minimum of one year of sales experience (background in advertising or media is a plus).
• Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and exceeding revenue targets.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Familiarity with digital marketing channels, including social media, programmatic advertising, and email marketing.
• A foundational understanding of business and financial concepts.
• A strong drive to achieve goals, a competitive nature, and a proactive approach to your work.
