SPECIAL NOTE:
Requires non-standard, rotating shiftwork to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Primary work schedule is continuous shift work at 48 hours on, 96 hours off.
FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC SALARY RANGE: $19.79 - $28.89/Hourly; DOQ
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS POSITION:
- Arizona Paramedic Certification OR National Registry Paramedic Certification. (Other State, County or Local certifications WILL NOT be accepted).
- Firefighter I & II Certification issued by a recognized State or Federal Certifying agency.
FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDIC TRAINEE SALARY RANGE: $17.81 - $19.08/Hourly; DOQ
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS POSITION:
- Arizona State Certification as an Emergency Medical Care Technician (EMCT) or National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification. (Other State, County or Local certifications WILL NOT be accepted). Candidate will be required to attend a Paramedic course and obtain a NREMTP certification at the discretion of the Fire Department.
- Firefighter I & II Certification issued by a recognized State or Federal Certifying agency.
PARAMEDIC/FIREFIGHTER TRAINEE SALARY RANGE: $17.81 - $19.08/Hourly; DOQ
- Arizona Paramedic Certification OR National Registry Paramedic Certification. (Other State, County or Local certifications WILL NOT be accepted). Candidate will be hired as "Trainee" and will be required to attend a Fire Academy and obtain certification in a timeframe established at hire.
FIREFIGHTER/EMT SALARY RANGE: $17.36 - $25.34/Hourly; DOQ
- Arizona Paramedic Certification OR National Registry Paramedic Certification. (Other State, County or Local certifications WILL NOT be accepted).
- Firefighter I & II Certification issued by a recognized State or Federal Certifying agency.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICAITONS:
Incumbent must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or GED equivalency and certification requirements as listed above.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs work determined by your level of position; performing firefighting and fire service duties in support of the Fire Department including responding to all fire alarms and performing firefighting services and emergency services, administering proper first aid as needed and necessary, training staff and performing maintenance and repair on fire equipment, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the supervision of the Fire Captain.
